February / March 2000
Just when we thought that the snow was was over along comes another 12 inches. We have a nice little slope that the children sled down and Duke is their constant companion. When he is not chasing them down the hill he gets up to other mischief. |
We were asked to join the other "Dogs of Ireland" at the St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 11th 2000 in a little town close to us called St. Charles. This is the morning before the parade. |
Here we are on the way to St. Charles with Duke strapped into the seat. He is looking very regal having been brushed and combed. He is suitably posed here with the children |
The previous picture did not show Dukes full attire. A pair of Melissa's soccer socks were used to give the boy a bit of green. His collar was also draped in green too. |
Here we are in St. Charles at the parade. It started so quickly that we did not have anyone to take a picture of us along the parade route. So here we are at the end, it was funny as the Wolfhounds were supposed to be the last of the dogs but with my children holding the banner up front Duke would not stay back. He wanted to be up front with them and consequently ended up leading all the dogs. The little yapping Terriers and Setters were just behind us .... but were ignored. |
The couch seems like a favorite spot to rest, here after the parade the boys fall asleep in front of TV | |
